We always encourage patients to wait outside on the benches or in their cars if they are uncomfortable in the waiting areas. We will never force a patient to wait anywhere they are not comfortable. A patient has the right and always has the option to decide for themselves. Sometimes Ophthalmic visits can take a while due to the amount of testing that is needed, but we do our best to keep that wait time as low as possible.
Consider the following advantages offered at our optical centers. A contact lens exam will include both a comprehensive eye exam to check your overall eye health, your general vision prescription and then a contact lens consultation and measurement to determine the proper lens fit. We will continue to provide emergency care and help our patients manage chronic conditions during this time. Each of our locations will be accommodating “on demand” appointments for emergent situations and will remain open one day a week for ongoing care. In addition, we provide long-term treatment and management of common and uncommon eye conditions like Age related Macular Degeneration and other macular issues, dry eye, diabetic eye diseases, and floaters. We even offer aesthetic solutions for eyelid issues, and refractive surgeries, including LASIK, to permanently improve vision. Since we opened the doors of our first location back in 1980, we’ve become renowned throughout the Wiregrass for our technology, our expert team of eye surgeons, and our advanced treatments.

Nearly anyone who needs vision correction can wear contact lenses. Contact lenses can provide vision correction for people with nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, or a combination of these issues. Finding the perfect lens for you is sometimes a process of trial and error. All of the lens parameters can be finalized only after you’ve worn the successful combination. Schedule an eye exam to talk with your optometrist about whether contact lenses would be a good vision correction option for you. You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam.
